A KAMI LIDDLE Bellydance Workshop March 9, 2008!
The lovely Kami has graciously agreed to sacrifice her day off from the BDSS tour to teach a workshop in Seattle! We will be dancing in a beautiful renovated 1930's ballroom *with mirrors*. And of course we'll have da snax! It doesn't get much better than that! Who knows, maybe some of Kami's pals will come visit and get funky with us... ;o)

FUNKY COMBOS FOR TRIBAL FUSION:
This fun workshop plays with changing the intensity and timing of movements while combining slow snake-like movements with fast staccato moves. A few combinations will be introduced that will flow together into a short choreography.
PRICE: $55 adv / $65 @ the door
I still need the minimum registered by March 2nd so please don't wait if you want to see this workshop happen! Tell everyone you know!

Anyone have any advice on preparation? -

Thu, February 28, 2008 - 1:04 PMI've only taken one workshop with her, it was great. Personally, I found it more challenging in layering and combinations compared to others I've taken from some of the BDSS. I don't remember doing a ton of yoga, it was a lot of dancing and shimmies. Maybe just work on a few layering excersizes?

There are mirrors and a stage in this beautiful ballroom so everyone will be able to see Kami and her funky combos. We will have some exclusive tour merch available, too - first dibs if you're going to the Kirkland shows, a second chance if you went to Bremerton. And of course I'll have chocolate!
Just remember to SPRING FORWARD / DAYLIGHT SAVINGS begins! -

I have been doing BD since January of this year... so just a few months... tribal/fusion is the style I really like. Today's workshop with Kami is the first workshop I've attended and plan to attend much much more... LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT.

I really enjoyed myself and learned a lot. Thanks again. Can't wait to see you perform again sometime. Be careful with all that floorwork!

And in your opinion, do you think that piece would work with the song from tribal derivations entitled "slow"? It is quite slow, but I think it would work if done slower and more prominently. What do you think?
